1. GET YOUR DOCTORS ADVICE - Before attempting to take on any form of exercise, check with your doctor first. I know this may sound a little extreme but ask for a thorough medical. Once you have had the all clear you are then well on your way to a new lease of life.
2. KNOW YOUR FITNESS LIMITATIONS - Believe it or not there are some people who refuse to accept that they are no longer the young boy or girl they were in there earlier days. Whatever type of exercise you may be doing listen to your body and don't over extend.
3. SET ACHIEVABLE GOALS - Sometimes we can be carried away with our desire to reach our target goal and in so doing take fitness and exercise to the extreme. If its not working reassess and try again, but NEVER, NEVER give up.
4. BE CONSISTENT - Follow each given instruction to the letter. Do warm ups before eachexercise and stretches after.
5. ENJOY - And above all enjoy yourself. Fitness and exercise, at any age, can be fun and above all very rewarding. When you have reached your desired weight and you look at yourself in the mirror; hear the wispers admiring from passers by and the envy of friends you know; you can pat yourself firmly on the back and say.
